Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at Mar De Fondo Hostel in Punta Del Diablo, and I must say, it ticked all the boxes for an active family getaway. The friendly vibe immediately put my teenage sons and me at ease, and we felt right at home. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast while planning our beach adventures for the day. The hostel boasts a fantastic terrace and bar area, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the stunning coastline. The communal vibe fostered connections with fellow travelers, and sharing stories over drinks during happy hour was definitely a highlight. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering insights about local tours and ensuring everything was tidy and welcoming. Even with our busy schedules and some work to juggle, the free WiFi was reliable enough for conference calls, which was a lifesaver. Plus, the nearby public parking made it easy for us to venture out and explore Cabo Polonio, just a short trip away! If you're after a place that balances relaxation and adventure in a beautiful setting, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mar De Fondo Hostel. It's now among my favorite hostels, and I can't wait to return!
